Campus Worship Leader Job Description (5-10 hours)

The Campus Worship Leader will lead our worship teams on Sunday morning while aiding the campus pastor in the carrying out of his leadership and pastoral duties. Your role will seek to use your personal gifts and technical skills for the benefit of the church by contributing to the campus pastor’s effectiveness and efficiency. The person in this position will demonstrate organizational skills, creativity in a portable church environment, as well as an ability to relate well with a diversity of persons: pastoral staff, office colleagues, church leaders, members, and visitors. They will demonstrate a willingness to grow spiritually and vocationally, exhibiting a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and growing as an active disciple. The Campus Worship Leader will be a cooperative team member in relation with others who share the work environment and responsibilities.

Qualifications

1. Prior ministry experience leading worship (preferably in a newer church setting). 2. Self-initiator who is organized and responsible
3. Ability to recruit and lead teams of people as well as identify and develop other leaders

4. Have a passion to understand, embrace, and engage the culture 5. Confident and Engaging stage presence and communication skills. 6. Have an understanding of technical production.

Job Role

This is part time (possible full time) staff position for a church in the Lake Norman Region. You will report directly to the Campus Pastor and at times the Lead Pastor. Your primary role is to assist in all areas of campus ministry in helping us launch a new church in a new region of Lake Norman. Future roles not only include full time support, but the opportunity to plant additional campuses in the future.

Weekly

Lead and Oversee Bands & Vocalist assigned to campus
Self Administrate all communication with staff and team leaders Integrate Media and Graphics into Pro-Presenter from central staff Assist in programming and creative planning with Creative Arts Pastor Assist in managing all equipment and resources required for ministry Assist with Online Marketing and Streaming during Gathering Coordinate meeting schedule for campus pastor
Attend Staff and Campus meetings
NOTE: a propensity for using newer technology is helpful and must be willing to learn and train on technology after-hours. (Macs, tablets, mobile development, Mail Chimp, Survey Monkey, Sign Up Genius, Texting Services, etc)

Attend and Assist with Discovering Journey at Campus

Assistant Campus Pastor Job Description (10-20 hours)

Description

Journey Church is all about humbly pointing everyone to absolute Hope. Journey is located in Huntersville, NC, a thriving suburb of Charlotte, NC, located beside Lake Norman. Journey is a staff-led church that thrives by equipping our Partners (what other churches might call Members) to do the ministry of the church. We’re currently in the process of planting another campus in nearby Denver, NC in the Fall of 2016.

Position Summary:

The Technical Director will manage and lead the production teams at Journey Church to help craft gatherings that humbly point everyone to absolute Hope. The Technical Director will lead all production volunteers, setup & maintain all position stations for weekend gatherings, and provide technical support to all Journey ministries & campuses. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who loves creatively solving problems, loves people, and loves catching the Apple Keynote every year.
